The opening matches in Group C saw compLexity and BURNING play a 15-15 game to take one point each.
Group C is one of the more exciting ones, featuring the ESWC champions from Natus Vincere, the French team BURNING! as well as the third place finishers from ESEA Invite Season 6, the American team compLexity.
The Americans took the lead, finishing their T side on de_inferno with an 8-7 score line. The second half saw PC issues over in the American camp, as Jeff "hero" Mettetal smashed his table in frustration, which made his PC reboot. While the game was paused, David "Xp3" Garrido's PC crashed. The admins gave Garrido $1,500 in start money, while Mettetal did not get anything, as he caused the crash.
The game went down the wire, complexity had the opportunity to win 16-14, but the Frenchmen wanted it different, which produced a 15-15 result. Notable was that Thomas "thoMz" Garcia played a very good CT side, finishing with 23 kills and 4 deaths.
